Based on the book of the same name (which has been essential reading for high school students for a while now), this Australian movie deals with the trouble a 17 year-old girl faces when her father returns into her life. As she uncovers the truth behind her heritage she slowly learns more about herself. Unfortunately, most Australian films released in the past few years have struggled to attract an audience (admittedly this is because of a lot of the films were just plain awful), but this film looks to be different. The story is fun and interesting and should be worth a look. |
