Finally the news all sci-fi fans have been waiting for……… Arnold Schwazenegger will star in Terminator 3. Big Arnie is yet to sign, but he has stated that work on the script is well underway and that James Cameron will produce the third instalment.

Writer/director M. Night Shyamalan is in talks to write (there are conflicting reports on whether he or Steven Spielberg will also direct)the fourth instalment of the Indiana Jones series.

Fans of the excellent clay-animated TV series Wallace and Grommit will be pleased to hear that Aardman Animations (the fine people who brought us Wallace and Grommit and the upcoming film Chicken Run) will make four full-length feature films for DreamWorks over the next few years. Word is that Wallace and Grommit will have their own film by 2004. no doubt it will be worth the wait.

More on director Tony Goldwyn’s new film, Animal Husbandry. Marisa Tomei and Ellen Barkin have joined the cast and will star alongside Ashley Judd, Greg Kinnear and Australia’s own Hugh Jackman.

Giovanni Ribisi, probably the finest young acting talent in Hollywood at the moment, is set to join Australia’s Cate Blanchett in director Tom Tyker’s (Run Lola Run), Heaven. The film will be the first English-language film for Tyker.

Happy Texas’ Steve Zahn is to star opposite Drew Barrymore in the Penny Marshall’s, Riding In Cars With Boys. Zahn will play Barrymore’s drug addict husband who runs out on his wife and kids.

Breckin Myer, best known as Travis from Clueless and the upcoming Road Trip, has signed to star in Jerry Zucker’s (Naked Gun and other similar movies) new comedy, Rat Race.

Sam Neill could return for Jurassic Park 3 which, despite not having a completed script, is due to start filming later this year. Jumanji director Joe Johnston will direct.

Dustin Hoffman as Liberace? If reports are true, Hoffman is on the shortlist of actors to play the flamboyant pianist.
