PREVIEW THOUGHTS: When this film was first announced, it appeared only as Ghost Dog, which had some believing that this would be an animated kid's film featuring a dead dog. Obviously, this is not the case. What we get instead is Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai, that features the very underrated Forest Whitaker as a ninja assassin who takes on the mob after they take a hit out on him. Isn't it funny how a few extra words can totally change your initial ideas about a film. This film has a limited release but, from all reports, it may be worth going to those obscure little suburban cinemas to check out. |
